Material damage due to holes in the wall

Concealed cables or pipes can be damaged while drilling the core hole.

  1. Ensure that there are no cables or pipes in the installation area of the wall.
  2. Use a suitable detection device to check for cables and pipes.

    Material damage due to incorrect angle when drilling the core hole

    If the angle is >1.0°, the ventilation unit cannot be installed.

    1. Drill the core hole to the outside from the room.
    2. Drill the core hole at an angle of 0.0° – 1.0°.
  3. Drill the core hole.
  4. Trim the pipe. Be mindful of the dimensions for inserting the pipe into the vent duct Processing dimensions.

    Material damage due to incorrect angle of the ventilation pipe

    If the angle is >1.0°, the ventilation unit cannot be installed.

    1. Install the ventilation pipe at an angle of
      0.0° – 1.0°.
  6. Insert the trimmed end of the pipe into the wall.
  7. Insulate the pipe (depending on requirements).
  8. Seal the pipe so that it is airtight to the inside and breathable to the outside.
  9. Place the vent duct onto the ventilation pipe and screw or glue to the outside wall.
  10. Apply the thermal insulation.
  11. Apply the thermal insulation to the vent duct.
  12. Trim the vent duct if it is not flush with the wall. Be mindful of the area that can be trimmed when doing so Dimensions of vent duct.
  13. Insert the plaster cover.
  14. Plaster the wall and the vent duct.
  15. Remove the plaster cover.
